- 01Your complimentary 30-minute Discovery Call is an opportunity for us to discuss your health concerns and determine whether Functional Medicine and/or Craniosacral Therapy is the right approach for you. We'll explore your main symptoms, how they've affected your life, any diagnoses you've received, treatments you've tried and what you're hoping to achieve. I'll explain how I work, what the patient journey looks like and whether I think I can help.By the end of the call, you'll have a clear understanding of the next steps and can decide whether you'd like to book an initial consultation. There is no obligation to proceed.
- 02Your first Functional Medicine consultation is a comprehensive 75-minute investigation into your health. Rather than focusing solely on your diagnosis or symptoms, we'll explore your health story from in utero through to the present day, using the Functional Medicine Timeline to identify the factors that may be contributing to your current health concerns.Together, we'll discuss:Your current symptoms and medical historyMedications and supplementsDiet, digestion and gut healthSleep, energy and fatigueExercise and movementStress and nervous system healthRelationships and community supportHormonal healthEnvironmental and lifestyle factorsFamily medical historyPrevious investigations and treatmentsThis whole-person approach helps us identify patterns and uncover the potential root causes of your symptoms, allowing us to create a truly personalised treatment plan.Following your consultation, you'll receive an individualised Functional Medicine programme based around the five pillars of health:Sleep and RestMovement and ExerciseNutrition and Targeted Nutrient Therapy (where appropriate)Stress Management Community & RelationshipsWhere clinically appropriate, I may also recommend functional laboratory testing to provide further insight and help tailor your programme even more precisely. If you're attending for Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, we'll begin by discussing your health history, current symptoms and what you'd like support with. Your treatment then consists of a gentle, fully clothed, hands-on therapy that supports your nervous system, helping your body move towards greater balance, resilience and its natural capacity for healing.
- 03Functional Medicine appointments are designed to give us enough time to understand your health thoroughly.Discovery Call: 30 minutes (complimentary)Initial Functional Medicine Consultation: 75 minutesFollow-up Functional Medicine Consultation: 60 minutesCraniosacral Therapy appointments are approximately one hour, including time to discuss how you've been since your previous session. For infants and children sessions are 30-40 minutes.
- 04This depends entirely on your health goals and the complexity of your condition. Some people simply want support with a specific issue so we do the intial consult and 3-5 craniosacral therapy sessions, before reviewing your health goals. Others with more complex or long-standing health concerns benefit from working together over several months while we investigate your underlying biology causing symptoms, review laboratory results and monitor progress. My aim during sessions, webinars, local meetings, my newsletters and social media is to provide you with the knowledge, tools and confidence to understand your health so that, over time, you become more reslient.
- 05Not necessarily. Many people benefit from beginning with nutrition and lifestyle changes alone, while others gain valuable insights from advanced functional laboratory testing.Where appropriate, I may recommend tests such as:Comprehensive gut microbiome analysisFood sensitivity testingHormone testingNutritional status testingDNA health profilingOrganic acid testingEnvironmental toxin or mould testingAny recommendations are based on your symptoms and health history, and we'll always discuss the purpose, benefits and costs before you decide whether to proceed.
- 06Absolutely.Functional Medicine complements conventional medical care and works alongside your GP, consultant or other healthcare professionals. My role is to investigate the lifestyle, nutritional and environmental factors that may be contributing to your symptoms and to support your overall health.I never advise stopping prescribed medication without discussing this with your GP or specialist. Many clients choose to combine conventional medicine with Functional Medicine to achieve the best possible outcomes, hence why more and more GPs and consultants today are trained in Functional Medicine.
- 07Yes.I understand that investing in your health is a significant decision, particularly if laboratory testing is recommended.Where possible, we can discuss spreading appointments over time, prioritising investigations or arranging staged treatment plans to make the process more manageable. My aim is always to work within your circumstances while ensuring you receive the support you need. Please feel free to discuss this during your Discovery Call.
- 08Yes.Functional Medicine consultations are available both online via Zoom and in person from my clinics in West Sussex and London. Many clients from across the UK and overseas choose online consultations, which are just as thorough and personalised as face-to-face appointments.Craniosacral Therapy is also possible online with The Craniosacral Therapy Association recognising online work, however, many of my client prefer hands-on treatment and therefore come for sessions in person.
- 09Yes.I work with babies, children, teenagers and adults. My practice supports a wide range of health concerns, including digestive health, allergies, eczema, neurodivergence (ADHD and autism), migraines, hormonal health, pregnancy, postnatal recovery and stress-related conditions.Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is an exceptionally gentle treatment suitable for babies and children, and many parents seek support during pregnancy, follwoing birth or developmental challenges.
- 10I have a particular interest in supporting people with complex or long-standing health concerns using a personalised, root-cause, biological approach. My specialist areas include:ADHD and autism (neurodivergence)Pregnancy, postnatal recovery and babiesMigraines and chronic headachesPerimenopause and menopauseGut health and digestive disorders, including IBS, bloating, reflux and constipationHormonal health and fertilityChronic fatigue and burnoutHistamine intolerance and mast cell activationMould illness and environmental toxicityStress, anxiety and nervous system regulationBy combining Functional Medicine, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, nutrition and lifestyle medicine, I aim to uncover and address the underlying causes of symptoms, helping you move towards lasting health rather than simply managing illness.
- 11For some individuals, certain foods may contribute to digestive discomfort, headaches, poor concentration, sleep disturbance or behavioural changes. This varies considerably from person to person. Rather than removing large numbers of foods unnecessarily, I prefer to investigate possible underlying causes and use targeted elimination only when clinically appropriate. The aim is always to support the broadest, most nutritious diet possible alongside specific supplementation as and when required.
