Equine Craniosacral Therapy
Bringing your horse back to you
Service Description
Equine Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on treatment that supports your horse's nervous system, fascia and whole-body health. Using an exceptionally light touch, it encourages the body to release areas of tension and restriction, helping restore balance, comfort and freedom of movement. Horses experience physical and emotional stresses throughout their lives, from training, competition and transport to injury, illness, changes in routine and ageing. These experiences can leave lasting patterns of tension within the body. Craniosacral Therapy works with your horse's own natural ability to rebalance, promoting relaxation and supporting optimal function. Treatment may benefit horses experiencing: Muscular tension or stiffness Changes in performance or willingness to work Recovery following injury or veterinary treatment Jaw, neck or poll restrictions Stress, anxiety or behavioural changes Age-related stiffness Difficulty settling or relaxing General wellbeing and performance optimisation Every horse is treated as an individual. Sessions begin with a discussion about your horse's history, health and current concerns before a gentle assessment and treatment. Horses often respond by yawning, sighing, stretching, licking and chewing, lowering their head or simply becoming deeply relaxed as their nervous system settles. Equine Craniosacral Therapy works alongside veterinary care, physiotherapy, osteopathy, dentistry and farriery as part of an integrated approach to your horse's health. It does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment but provides complementary support to promote resilience, recovery and long-term wellbeing. My approach combines Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, enabling me to work with the interconnected relationship between the nervous system, connective tissue and the body's innate capacity to heal. Fees and Travel The consultation fee includes travel within a 5-mile radius of West Hoathly (RH19). For visits beyond this distance, a mileage charge will be added to cover travel time and expenses. This will always be discussed with you when booking your appointment.
