Service Description

Late summer is a beautiful time of transition — a moment to pause, gather and return to our centre before we move into the more inward energy of autumn. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, late summer is associated with the Earth element and the Spleen and Stomach. Earth represents grounding, nourishment, stability and our capacity to digest and assimilate — not only the food we eat, but also our experiences, emotions and the changing rhythms of our lives. Over this five-week term, our yoga practice will focus on cultivating a deeper sense of rootedness and connection with the Earth. Through asana, breathwork and meditation, we will strengthen stability through the midline, explore the subtle craniosacral rhythms of the body, and create space for the nervous system to settle and find greater balance. Our practices will gently support digestion physically, emotionally and energetically, inviting us to consider what truly nourishes us and what we may be ready to release. We will also explore seasonal nutrition for late summer, looking at warming, grounding foods that traditionally support the Spleen and Stomach, digestive vitality and the nourishment of the blood. Each week will build upon the last, creating a consistent and evolving practice that brings together movement, breath, meditation, seasonal wisdom and deep connection to the body. A beautiful opportunity to slow down, become grounded and nourished, and move gently with the changing season.
