Service Description

Craniosacral Therapy for You and Your Horse is a gentle, hands on session in which you and your horse each receive your own craniosacral treatment, in the familiar surroundings of your field, yard or stable. Using an exceptionally light touch, it supports the nervous system of both horse and rider, encouraging deep settling, body awareness and greater ease. Horses and the people who care for them often carry stress together. A fall, a loss of confidence, injury, illness, changes in routine or the demands of everyday life can leave patterns of tension in both of you. This shared session makes space to support each of you individually, and to notice what is happening within the relationship between you. The session may be meaningful for: Riders returning after a fall or loss of confidence Owners carrying sustained stress or overwhelm Exploring trust, boundaries and communication with your horse Horses and owners adapting to change, loss, retirement or a new partnership Physical tension affecting comfort and connection when riding Anyone who feels most at ease outdoors and with their horse Every session begins with a conversation about your health, your horse’s history and what you would like from the time together. We begin with you, while your horse remains free to approach, watch or move away. Your horse’s movement and attention often guide where we slow down. Your horse then receives its own gentle treatment, with freedom to pause or finish at any time. Many people describe a deep sense of settling, though every response is individual. This is trauma aware bodywork, not psychotherapy. It works alongside your therapist, doctor, vet, physiotherapist or coach, and does not replace medical, psychological or veterinary diagnosis or treatment. No riding is required. My approach combines Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology and the nervous system, working with the connection between horse and human and the body’s innate capacity to heal. Fees and Travel The consultation fee includes travel within a 5 mile radius of West Hoathly (RH19). For visits beyond this distance, a mileage charge will be added to cover travel time and expenses. This will always be discussed with you when booking your appointment.
